The social media have lapped up this incident and are hotly debating the circumstances leading to the resignation.

A meeting of DySPs was held here on Thursday October 22. It is said that he has said the following about himself. "I have got everything from the department like communication, dignity, position, fame, infamy etc. I had resigned twice when I was police sub-inspector. But a senior officer told me that resigning is like committing sicide which cowards do and therefore I withdrew the same. I had decided not to resign on my own. But the IGP asked me yesterday to resign. Therefore, I have resigned," he reportedly said in a message posted in the police group, which has given rise to quite a sensation.
