Udupi: Watchman dies hit by lorry

Udupi, Oct 24: In an incident which happened near Karikalkatte in Manuru village near Kota in the taluk on Thursday October 22, the watchman of a hotel was killed after a lorry hit him.

Laxman Poojary (47) from M C Colony at Vaddarse near Kota was working as the watchman of Indraprastha Hotel. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.

Laxman, after his duty hours was crossing the road when a lorry which was moving towards Kundapur from Brahmavar knocked him down. He was instantly killed.

A case relating to the accident was filed in Kota police station.
