Mangaluru: KMC Hospital to resume all patient services from October 8

Mangaluru, Oct 7: All services of the hospital, including unit wise outpatient (OPD) services, inpatient services, non-OPD specialty services are set to resume at KMC Hospital, Attavar from Thursday, October 8. OPD services will be available from 9 am to 3 pm.

For convenience of patients, there is prior appointment booking system made available by the Hospital. Appointment can be obtained by contacting a dedicated appointment number 8861586249/0824-2445858 (9 am to 5 pm).

Medical superintendent of KMC Hospital, Attavar stated that those visiting the hospital will be screened in the triage area and then routed to respective departments. All types of surgical facilities will also be available; however the COVID-19 test (RT-PCR) is mandatory for inpatient admission to surgical services. If done in their hometown, it is valid up to 96 hours from the date of the throat swab taken. Otherwise, the mandatory COVID-19 test will be performed before inpatient admission to any surgery.

In view of the current pandemic, only one person along with the patient will be allowed. Further wearing of masks is made compulsory for all.
