Bantwal: Miscreants steal mangalsutra chain from woman’s neck worth Rs 1.3 lac

Bantwal, Sep 22: Miscreants who arrived in a two-wheeler with registration No. KA-21-EA-7284 snatched a gold chain from the neck of a woman while she was returning from the Beedi branch at Kundadka Maruvala, Mudnoor village, Bantwal taluk at about 11.15 am on Tuesday. The gold chain weighing four sovereign worth about Rs 1.3 lac was worn by Eliz Menezes, a local woman.

A police case under section 392 IPC has been registered in Vittal police station in this connection.

    First thing I ask women why do you wear costly gold ornaments during the day while going to shop etc?Knowing thefts are on the rise.It is enough to wear a either fake one from shop,or none.less chance to recover the lost chain.
