Bengaluru: Srinivas Subrahmanyam who facilitated parties for actors held

Bengaluru, Sep 21: Srinivas Subrahmanyam, who reportedly used to organise parties and book accommodations for actors, was arrested by the central crime branch (CCB) police late night on September 19. The police came to know about his role on the basis of information provided by the host and actor Akul Balaji and Santhosh Kumar who has been arrested in the drugs case, during their questioning.

Raid on Subrahmanyam's flat at Beary's Lakeside Apartments at Kodigehalli was conducted late night on Saturday, sources said. 13 ecstasy tablets, 100 grams ganja, 1.1 gram MDMM, and 0.5 mm Hashish oil were found from the flat where he lives. During his questioning, the investigating officers came to know that an actress arrested in the drugs case had visited his flat. The joint police commissioner of CCB, Sandeep Patil stated that the arrested accused is being questioned further.

The arrested Srinivas Subrahmanyam also had contact with Vaibhav Jain and was close to Ragini, Santhosh Kumar and several other actors. He used to book villas and resort at various places in the city for holding parties, it is learnt. Subrahmanyam had taken on lease a farmhouse belonging to the actor Akul Balaji at Lagumenahalli near Doddaballapur and managed all affairs connected with it. He used to organize weekend parties for actors, actresses, entrepreneurs, children of rich families and dignitaries, sources stated.
