Udupi, Aug 2: The Sunday lockdown has been lifted in the state and life in Udupi seems to have returned to normalcy. All the shops, hotels were seen conducting business as per the new normal.

KSRTC and a few private buses also began their operations on Sunday. The express buses operated along the Udupi-Kundapur and Udupi-Mangaluru routes. KSRTC also conducted interdistrict and intradistrict operations. As the private buses are less in number KSRTC carried a good number of passengers on its all routes.

Meanwhile, the Udupi city buses discontinued their services due to the fewer number of commuters. People were seen hiring autos, cars and private vehicles for the commute.

On Sunday, the shops and other establishments conducted their business while adhering to the prescribed norms of the government.
