Mangaluru, Jul 25: Ln Vinod Devasia Mjf installs PST, office bearers for Lions Club Balmatta

Mangaluru, Jul 25: Lions Club Balmatta held the installation ceremony of the newly elected team of new office bearers for the year 2020-21 with Ln Linet D’Souza as president, Ln Preetham Kunder as secretary and Ln Stany Lasrado as treasurer at the new party hall of Hotel Maharaja, Bunts Hostel on July 25. The introduction of PST was done by Ln Avil.

President Ln Jerry Crasta Mjf, called the meeting to order. Ln Noel FC Pinto Mjf read the Lions prayer, Ln Wilma Menezes read the flag salutation, Ln Sandra Crasta read the code of ethics. Ln Simon Lobo introduced the installing officer Ln Vinod Devasia Mjf. The installing officer in his address spoke on the importance of the Lion Club Services in society and how they can help to build a better tomorrow.



The newly elected president Ln Linet D’Souza delivered her acceptance speech. The immediate past president Ln Jerry Crasta Mjf gave an outgoing speech by thanking all the donors and achievers and acknowledged them with a token of appreciation.

As part of the service activities, Ln Henry D’Souza Mjf promised Rs 2,000 every month to a poor lady Philu, Ln Avil D’Souza donated Rs 5,000 to Champa, home guard constable for medical expenses and Ln Noel FC Pinto Mjf sponsored the medical expenses of COVID testing a pregnant lady.

The immediate past president Ln Jerry Crasta Mjf and his team were honoured by incoming PST.

Club felicitation was done by RC Ln Umesh Prabu and zone advisor Ln Simon Lobo.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Ln Preetham Kunder.

Kargil Vijay Diwas was observed with a minute's silent prayer and concluded by singing the National Anthem.

The president adjourned the meeting for lunch.
