Sullia: Man accused of sexually assaulting daughter held

Sullia, Jul 22: A man who has been accused of incest by sexually assaulting his 16-year-old daughter, stands arrested. The accused happens to be a Madrassa teacher. He was arrested by the policemen of Nileshwar police station in Kerala and booked under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

The Ustad in question, who happens to be a resident of Thaikadappuram near Kanhangad, was serving as a teacher of Madrassa there. He is basically from Goonadka here, and his first wife stays here. He had married a second time at Kanhangad. In the past, four sexual atrocity cases had been registered against him even in the past.


Nileshwar police station

The victim, accompanied by her maternal uncle, filed a complaint at Nileshwar police station. She said that her father had been committing sexual atrocities on her. She also named a few who also were involved with the sexual harassment. The incident came to light after the girl became pregnant.

On the basis of this complaint, the police arrested the Madrassa teacher and three young men from the area. The girl's mother also has been booked for keeping quiet even after coming to know that her daughter was being used for sexual pleasure.
