Bantwal, Jul 14: The mortal remains of a lady who had gone missing from Chikkayyana Math area of B C Road two days back, was found from River Netravati from near Thumbe on Monday, July 13.

The woman in question, Gopi Poojary (49) from Subhash Nagar, Sajipamooda village, had come to the residence of her elder sister at Chikkayyana Math near B C Road a few days back. She had gone missing since July 11. During the search conducted by the family, her sari and bangles were found from near the Panemangalore new bridge. As there was suspicion that she would have jumped into the river, a search operation was conducted in the river.

A case stands registered in Bantwal rural police station in this connection.
