Udupi, Jul 7: “Journalists and photographers have indivisible relationships. A picture along with a news article helps a reader understand it better. A picture can explain news better several times. Pictures have that characteristic,” opined veteran photographer Kiran Manjanabail.

He was speaking after responding to ‘Madhyama Manikya’ title accorded to him from South Kanara Photographers Association, Udupi as part of Newspaper Day on Tuesday, Jul 7.

Udupi zone honorary president Shiva K Ameen, central committee’s Sunder Poojary, Jayakar Suvarna, former zonal president Aneesh Shettigar, Surabhi Sudheer and Kripa Kiran were present.

Zonal president Prakash Kodankoor welcomed the gathering and Janardhan Kodavoor compered the programme.

Secretary Sukesh Ameen rendered the vote of thanks.
