Mangaluru, Jul 4: 'Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice' says, Napoleon Hill.

St Agnes College proved to be so over the past years and gratefully on Thursday July 2 uniquely celebrated the 100th Foundation Day by commemorating the occasion as a 40-minute programme was premiered in the College’s YouTube channel at 4.00 pm.

The entire function was compered by Sarah Crasta who also at the end proposed the vote of thanks on behalf of the college. The programme began with a prayer song by Rishel and Belisha.

Sr Dr M Venissa AC, the principal of the college welcomed and introduced Sr Dr Lydia AC, the superior and joint secretary of St Agnes Institutions who spoke on the zeal and dedication of Mother Aloysia AC – the founder of St Agnes College. She highlighted Mother Aloysia’s farsighted vision and courage through which she kept the torch of higher education burning bright. A floral tribute was then offered to Mother Aloysia by Sr Dr Lydia AC, Sr Dr Venissa AC, Sr Carmel Rita AC and Sr Roopa Rodrigues AC.

Sr Dr Vinora AC introduced Aroona B Bhat – TEDx speaker, image consultant and film producer, presently residing in Mumbai. The former Agnesian spoke proudly on her cherished memories at St Agnes College.
