4.7 magnitude earthquake shakes Alwar, neighbouring areas


New Delhi, Jul 3 (IANS): An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale hit Alwar district of Rajasthan on Friday evening. Tremors were also felt in Delhi and other adjoining regions.

The earthquake, which occurred at 7 p.m., was at a depth of 35 km from the surface.

No casualties or damage to properties have been reported so far.
