Chartered flight carrying 166 passengers from Dubai lands at Mangaluru airport

Mangaluru, Jun 24: Fly Dubai flight FZ 4617, sponsored by M Friends Charitable Trust and My Community Foundation, carrying 166 passengers from Dubai landed at Mangaluru International airport at 7.20 pm on Tuesday, June 23.

Originally 187 passengers were scheduled to fly by this flight. However, due to technical issues 21 passengers were left behind and 166 passengers made it to the city. The passengers included 128 men and 38 women.

The flight had left Dubai airport terminal 2 at 2 pm on Tuesday. Passengers on the flight included pregnant women, elderly people, sick and people who had lost their jobs in Dubai.

The passengers were accorded a warm departure in Dubai by Ashraf Abbas, chief of My Community Foundation in Dubai and members of M Friends NRI Hanif Puttur and Nawaz Kanathadka.

Passengers on the flight were accorded a warm welcome in Mangaluru international airport by Yathish Ullal, nodal officer of international passengers. Rashid Vittal, founder of M Friends, joint secretary Hanif Kuddupadavu, members Tufail Ahmed, Mohammed Topco, Ashique Kukkaje, Souhan S K, Ashfaque Vilayat, Imtiyaz I Frame and Siraj Madaka.

    I had come to Dubai in January for tour, but things didn't work as planned and struck here since more than 3 months.

    I'm willing travel back to India (Banglore).

    Please accept my request on priority bases and do the needful ASAP.

    Air India express was not allowing other countries flight to Mangalore. Their service was very bad and pathetic. During covid other airlines have landed in Mangalore airport. May be in future all these airlines will extend their services to Mangalore. Extend the runway is the need.

    Good to see new flights at Mangalore Airport .Emirates, Air Arabia, Al Jazeera, Fly Dubai, Gulf air. Maybe today night Saalam Air from Muscat. Mangalore has become truly international. I hope something come from USA and British airways.

    The myth of tabletop airport which was publicized by the local airline is broken and MIA becomes a truly international airport. Understand that 15% of the NRI population of 5% of UAE wants to come back to you. Corona made the difference in the life of the local an NRI people

    No Issues when we were in need Gulf people donating to our institutions,schools,colleges and contributing towards city and village built up.

    Great work by the members of these associations......so many stranded people got relieved by the stern steps taken by the members.. ......     from one month looking new new aircraft from different company's thanks to corona it makes little changes.
