Why's PM silent, hiding on killing of soldiers: Rahul

New Delhi, Jun 17 (IANS): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday again questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'silence' on the India-China stand-off in Galwan Valley in Ladakh and said the nation needs to know what exactly was happening there.

"Why is the PM silent? Why is he hiding? Enough is enough. We need to know what has happened. How dare China kill our soldiers? How dare they take our land?" Rahul tweeted.

The Congress too has flayed the Prime Minister: "Ever wondered why a vociferous man who never failed to question the (previous) government on every issue is now completely silent? Because, now he cannot blame anyone else but himself for all the failures."

Congress leader P Chidambaram too had questioned Modi's silence on the border issue. "The PM has maintained a worrying silence since May 5. Can you imagine any other head of the government not saying a word for 7 weeks since the intrusion of foreign troops into a country?" he asked on Tuesday evening.

On Jun 10 too, Rahul Gandhi had tweeted: "The Chinese have walked in and taken our territory in Ladakh. Meanwhile, the PM is absolutely silent and has vanished from the scene."

Twenty Indian Army men, including officers, were killed in a violent clash with Chinese People's Liberation Army at Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh on Monday night, the Indian Army said on Tuesday.

With Article 370 in place, it was absolute rubbish to Hold on to Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmiris were pampered and India suffered.

This was what was happening for the last 70 years. The Bold decision to revoke 370 has irked China. China did not want India in Ladadkh. So when India changed the status they began incursions. India also has been building Roads along the Border this has also provoked the Chinese. Agreed that there is a power differential between India and China . Under the circumstances, it is still better than foolishly holding on to Jammu & Kashmir with minimal control over its development.

    Rajesh,

At your place, when a new thing is brought, don't you think of a consequence also ? Similarly, didn't Modi/Shah think about the consequences of abrogation of Art 370 ? Why wasn't a remedy thought of before the abrogation was brought into effect ? If you now wail, why you wanted to show your smartness at all ??

Let those who patted their own back about the abrogation, face it now ! India passed by enough rough path to complete 70 years and yet be at the stage where it was upto 2014. Sit back and see where the nation has reached in just 6 years. Imagine if Modi/Shar were to head the nation for 70 years ! There could have been communal bloodbath and poverty. Nothing else.

Using the word like. face the music now makes it amply clear that you wanted this. Every moves have pros & cons. Holding on to Jammu & Kasmir without any real power with 370 in place is far worse than holding it at all. Why spend millions on J&K. There was therefore a need to fully integrate the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi keeps claiming historical firsts. However, the one thing he can genuinely claim as a real first is the fact that he is the first prime minister in democratic India to never have held a press conference.

Why is the "Mute Modi" terrified of holding even a single press conference?

Where is now RSS Chief Mohan Bhaghwat who proclaimed that his organisation has capability for full combat in hours which even our brave heart soldiers don't have?

During lockdown we the nation followed taali, thaali, diya and mombatti even with such a hardship. Our more than 20 soldiers had been killed and now 60 Kms Chinese are claiming the sovereignty.

But BJP seems to be busy buying MLA's in Rajasthan and Gujarat for Rajya sabha elections. His Chankaya is only interested in 'Virtual' election rallies. Nobody knows where is out Ministry of Defense.

Hope national address is not given by 'Ministry of culture'.

Furthermore, Modi is very sensitive to the feedback from citizens. .As bloomberg news said,he has controlled Indain Mainstream media very effectively, for his power. Any negative media /news prosecuted without question . This is sad in the so called democratic nation. Prior govt of Dr Manmohan Singh never controlled the media. It was a open form, gave many press conferences.

Before 2014 modi was mocking manmohan Singh for his silence on foreign policies. He was taunting the then Govt to show red eyes to the chinese. Rahul is niether taunting nor being sarcastic, all he is telling the Govt is to inform the country as to what was actually happening on the LAC with China.

Typical of the BJP, Ignore the message, just attack the Messenger.

It is the duty of the opposition parties to highlight the Govt failures and and acts of ommission. Regretfully this job has been totally abandoned by the Press.

Forget China even Nepal is baring its fangs on India.

AS one goes through all the above comments what is glaring is the Tremendous success that Modi and Amit Shah have achieved in the last six years to distort the social fabric of our country just to win elections unmindfull of the long term interests of our country.

Why people are talking against Rahul. Every Indian citizen has the right to ask the govt. It is not the question of opposition party or common citizen. What wrong he has asked Modi. We cannot close our eyes and see our army die on border. Modi is responsible for the death of those soldiers. Their sacrifice for our country and us is respected instead of playing politics. Shame on those people blaming Rahul instead of supporting him. I respect the person who raise his voice for the benefit and safety of our county. You can reply all negative things to my writing but please pray for the soldiers and their families. Those who have trusted and given vote to the present govt. go ask why of our soldiers died instead of blaming Rahul. If you do not have guts then do not comment.

Guys, Victory will be ours all pray harder to invoke Divine and angelic assistance, boost our military morale so that godless communist retract from their incursions into our mother land.

Communist chinese have now shown their true colour first by weapon grade virus now by incursions for their greed of controlling the world. They already ruined the world economically, spiritually by trying close all religious institutions to bring their godless communist style rule everywhere.

Unity is very important these times as communists are masters in using race against race as in US or religion against religion as they are planning in Europe to bring their Godless rule.

So more prayers our country and military and less arguments, fights to avoid communists chinese mocking our religions or taking advantage of or using them for their agenda of slowly controlling the world, are the need of the hour.

At this hour of crisis leadership is completely missing. There is a feeling that PM is confused and nervous. This is not good for the country.

Ruling party need to find a alternate experienced leader as Modi is not able to deal with the situation. Nitin Gadkari is quite experienced and can deal with the situation better as he worked under leaders like Vajapeyi.

Remember this is a democracy. This is a time when he has to unite all parties to come forward and give a press conference assuring the citizens of India, but we all know he's incapable of doing so. Just doesn't have it in him. When you make so many staged videos with soldiers, now can't you be answerable for them? Bhakts are are not angry on China for killing our soldiers, but they're angry on people questioning the govt for their lack of leadership. Amazing. China, Nepal and Pakistan have threatened India within a week, when has such a thing ever happened, and under which other govt? Shows the weakness clearly . Say whatever you want, your govt has weakened India from within and you know it.

Modi thundered 'Ek ke Badle duss sar mundwwaa ker laayenge' if he comes to power. When he did come to power what he did ? Went gate crashing to the Birthday Party of his counterpart.

Now, why the different attitude with China ? Why not bring 200 in retaliation to 20 of our soldiers dead ? No, we are not happy, especially because of this cat like behaviour of his. Where is the Tiger of 2014 ?? Did the nation fail to supply him required quantity of Mushrooms to safeguard his health ??? Is he unhappy with the 1.62 Crore security provided to him ?

For people to walk hand-in-hand irrespective of party favouritism, the leader of the nation should instill that quality in citizens. Did you ever hear MMS instigating citizens during his ten year term (2004-2014) ? Modi before coming to power sowed seeds of hatred in people's' minds saying 'maa-beta sarkaar' 'maa-daamaad sarkaar'. He said the previous government looted the nation with money that belonged to people. And, much more.

Now if you want unity, forget it ! It's Modi's India - as his minister SS Prasad said. Let Modi fight for it and you his supporters go after him.

There is no point in arguing with Bolts.

The reason why China is upset with India, is the same 56" chest . You dont have to prove it by going into War. This Govt is aggressively building infrastructure along the border to improve the supply to our Troops. It’s the same Galwan Valley Bridge and road projects are infuriating the Chinese. All the great people you have mentioned before 2014, form the time your Chacha Gave Aksai Chin to Chian in Golden plate, have only bent down and were in receiving end. This is the only Govt that’s strengthening the borders ( that too within its limits) which is infuriating the enemies on all the sides. We are all very proud and we will still vote for the same Govt, it doesn’t matter what Bolts think about this Govt or their rhetoric. You can keep playing the same sermons. I don’t think BJP counts on your votes anyways who are used to vote blindly following sermons. Army will do their Job when they seem its right to do, politics will engage their diplomatic engagements . Govt doesn’t have to answer a Runway dolt who keeps resurrecting every now and then and then vanishes to Thai junk nor his Bolt supporters. Real Indians irrespective of faith community or political affiliation will support Indian govt. For other inside moles, who cares.

Check your own Lutyen Shekhar Guptas Print ariticals and Videos about why China is angry with India. Its because of 56 " Bridges and roads..

PM is silent ? Because he has no trophy like Wing Comm. Abhinandan to display.

We have lost 20 soldiers (could be even more). Will the 56" man go and bring 200 Chinese soldiers ??

According to his 'Ek ke badle duss' ???

The top brass of the govt and military had a meeting. So you want PM to tell the nation what is your next move against China in a tweet?. Comon man, the way you want to portray shows your desh bhakthi.
