Mangaluru: Coronavirus-infected woman gives birth to healthy baby

Mangaluru, Jun 12: A lady from Kinnigoli who was in the last phase of her pregnancy, and who had come from Maharashtra, gave birth to child at Wenlock COVID Hospital here and both the mother and her child are safe, it is learnt.

The woman had arrived in the city on Monday from Maharashtra. As she suffered from weakness, she arrived at Lady Goschen Hospital here on Tuesday. During verification, the doctors came to know that she had come from Mumbai. Therefore she was kept in the quarantine in the hospital.

On Wednesday, her test report was received which confirmed that she was coronavirus positive. Therefore, she was shifted to a separate ward. On Thursday morning, she experienced labour pain after which a team of expert doctors performed delivery through caesarean section.

The child is healthy. As the mother was suffering from high blood pressure and dehydration, all precautions were taken and delivery through caesarean section was preferred, said district health and family welfare officer Dr Ramachandra Bairy.

    All covid19 patients needs to be t.reated with kindness. The voice and tune and presentation of tv channel create fear in the mind of the people.The death rate is very low and recovery rate is very good. The recovery is ,97;/: if death is 3 percent. The agency must enlighten the people about precautionary measures specifically. People are not properly educated but still they take all necessary steps. The government must practically more concerned about life of people, patients and dead body is to be given due respect. After corona many lives are saved as accidents are less. The number of people going hospital is reduced even doctors don't prefer of patients. So health is improving and money is saved.msny time pill kills may be accepted now
