Another chartered flight from Ras-Al-Khaimah with Bhatkal passengers to reach Mangaluru on Friday

Daijiworld Media Network - Ras-Al-Khaimah (SP)

Ras-Al-Khaimah, Jun 12: Many people hailing from Bhatkal and surrounding places are stuck in Dubai and UAE because of coronavirus lockdown. NRI entrepreneur Atiqurrehman Muniri, chairman of Nuha General Trading Dubai and vice president of Bhatkal-based Majlis-Islah-va-Tamzeem, said that the Indian embassy has permitted to carry these people to Mangaluru by a chartered flight on Friday June 12.

Initially, there was information that the chartered flight would leave Ras-Al-Khaimah in Dubai on Thursday, but the Indian embassy asked the flight to be rescheduled to June 12 by email, he disclosed.

Atiqurrehman Muniri

"All the passengers will be subjected to thermal scanning at the departing station, Ras-Al-Khaimah. They will be allowed to board the aircraft after health check and this has been told to all the passengers. Keeping this requirement in mind, all the passengers have been advised to be present at the airport five hours before the time of departure," Muneeri stated through WhatsApp from Dubai. He said that the flight will depart the airport exactly at 9 pm with 175 passengers including nine children. He also added that preference has been given to pregnant women, aged people and people who visited Dubai on 14-day visit visa and got stuck for over two months due to lockdown when choosing the passengers, he explained.

Muniri said that on account of holiday in Dubai and UAE offices are closed on Friday, and the Indian embassy accepted the request for travel on June 12, and informed them to make further arrangements to fly to India.

He said that all the passengers have to be taken to the airport five hours before departure by special buses. "Over 25 additional people have to be taken to the airport separately. Because, if any of the passengers are denied permission to board the flight during thermal scanning, their spots can be filled by others.

He further said that the Tanzeem organization at Bhatkal would be fully involved with arranging special buses to Bhatkal from Mangaluru after the flight reaches there. At the same time, Bhatkal Jamaatul Muslimeen Mangaluru also has promised to extend full support.

Bhatkal community leader Dr S M Syed Khaleelur Rahman among other members in Dubai including Rahmatullahi Rahi, Jailani Mohtesham, Afaque Naite, Shariyar Khateeb, MD of NGT, Abdul Badie Muniri, Yasir Qasimji, Muaz Shabandari, Taha Muallim, Faheem Raza, Sufyan SM and Manki Muslim Jamaat Dubai President Abu Muhammed Mukhtaser have extended total support for this endeavour. He prayed to Allah to shower his blessings for their noble support.

Countless people are trapped in the UAE. People are sick, many people have lost their jobs. Lot of people have problem for food and accommodation. Those who arranged this chartered flight deserve appreciation. This flight is not for any particular community but for all in and around Bhatkal. I request the organizers to arrange some more flights. I congratulate the whole team.

The BJP government 'Vande Bharat mission' seems unrealistic and only symbolic. In past few years the PM Modi's government is promoting Canadian passport holder Bollywood star Akshya Kumar movie 'Airlift' and even they when an extent of personal interview how to eat 'Mango'.

Now real time evacuation is requested by many stranded NRI sick and old, pregnant, jobless only individual coming forward to help Indians.

The Embassies collecting fees from every consulate services from Indians is not doing nothing and the Union Civil Aviation Minister is clueless.

There was not even a single flight from KUWAIT TO MANGALORE. The old people who went on visit visa expired, pregnant women stuck, mentally disastrously dying to come back from KUWAIT TO MANGALORE. No humanity so far neither from central or state government. Their trouma, cry still we can see from social media,

Now chartered flights are regular but national carriers are quite!!
here the difference is, charter flights announcements are only to near and dears, priority for needy, sufferers are not their business agenda!!
Govt offers freehand to these chartered flights, instead why can't start regular flights on priority basis, which may help the needy those registered to consulate, embassy first come first serve basis depending on cause of travel...
Human beings needs identity !!, common people are negligible in this society of discrimination!!
All so called associations, friends, relatives and so called kannadigas are only name sake!!, needy not getting support, off course there are many sufferers!!!
