Daijiworld Media Network - Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah, Jun 1: KNRI president and Fortune Hotel Group owner Praveen Shetty has hired a chartered flight to carry his staff as well as other few emergency passengers to Mangaluru.

According to sources, the SpiceJet flight with 181 passengers including six infants and crew has taken off from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport at 4 pm local time, and is expected to land in Mangaluru International Airport at 8.30 pm IST.

As many as 105 passengers are of Fortune Group, and rest of the passengers are arriving on medical emergency or other reasons. Passengers from Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Kasargod will land in Mangaluru.

Among the passengers where two people with extreme emergencies. A woman who had lost her 40-year-old husband and another passenger who had death in the family back in India. Shetty, extending a helping hand, took all the necessary steps to make sure that both of them were accommodated on the flight.

Shetty was himself present at the airport to welcome passengers and hand over the boarding passes.

Speaking to Daijiworld, Shetty said that, it was a Herculean task to get permission from the government as there were several formalities to be followed. He thanked SpiceJet, especially Darius Washington who heads SpiceJet, South India.

Big Salute to Mr. Praveen Shetty. Now a days we here job cuts, salary not paid, reduction in the salaries etc but Shetty proved himself that he is with the Staff in good and bad times as well. Companies they make profit year by year for decades but when there is a bit of market downfall immediately they downsizing the staff or no to pay the salaries or the salary deductions no matter how long and hard you work for the company.

You are saying Nalin, shobha and Bhat contribution is there , they could not arrange additional flights to Mangalore , so you think their contribution is there. Karnataka has given 25 MP’s and all of them have no guts. This is how the Bhakths behave. Look at Kerala they have arranged 18 flights. Do not boast . All credit should go to Shetty for arranging spice jet to Mangalore.
