Mangaluru, Jun 1: As private buses are being run from today in both Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district albeit partially, sanitization work has been undertaken in all earnestness for all these buses at the bus stand near the State Bank here.

The buses are being sanitized entirely inside and out. Sanitizers are being sprayed on even seats, footboards etc after every trip.

A private concern has taken up the sanitisation work at the bus stand.

Private buses which began service after more than two months witnessed poor service in thier first trips with just one or two passengers travelling.

If the buses are full with passengers and if the bus conductor and driver dont follow the rules and regulations then the purpose is not served. The number of cases will again increase. Traffic Police and RTO authorities book cases against those who violates rules and guidelines

When Private buses can't fulfill the condition given by the government, what is the use of starting the service???? First they said Tablabi connection ,then said Azmir link, then Maharashtra link, now they may tell service busses. I can't understand where we're going.

Pvt buses charging 50% more whos monitoring this.? For Rs 20 ticket now they are charging Rs30. Please provide a toll-free number where the public can call and complain. When they are paying so much extra it's their right to get the facility for that.

I saw a few buses near my home, there was no social distancing maintained. Most seats were filled and some were standing, what is the point of starting these buses if guidelines are not followed. Already cases are increasing, this is just adding more fuel to the fire. Hope the guidelines are followed , otherwise there is no point starting public transport.

Guidelines are in the computer...and in the print outs... This is expected. Do you think they will leave the bus without the standing passengers? Rates also hiked and guidelines are on the paper. I said in my last comment that people should be very careful... Don't be foolish to take sickness(those who are already healthy) by paying money. This is bus lobby...
