You shouldn't do IQ of returnees better you send them to HQ which is more safe n better and then come and test after 7days if nothing sympotms and negative report its good na..home quarantine is much save and better than institutional quarantine which is risky for all people or traveller in institutional..kerala rules are much better than karnataka rules....since in IQ all people live together of different parts and use same washroom which is also risky because no one knows who have coronovirus so HQ is safe n best option.

Dear Yeddy & Rest of the members of Karnataka Cabinet,

If you cant keep a person in Quarantine / Isolation for 14 days and release him after COVID-19 test found negative on him/her .... there is ABSOLUTELY no sense in keeping people in Hotels and Schools....Be they from Dubai , China or Mumbai ....Its just WASTE of TIME, EFFORTS and MONEY.....

What this semi-quarantine has achieved need to be audited by wise , smart and intelligent people like Bhandumaam who support this half hearted and In comprehensive methods... I know he will say US has more cases than India...which is partly true...reason being India conducted far far lower number of COVID-19 tests than US...when you test less people ...you get less positive !!!....

Last word here... COVID-19 Virus is like Flu Virus ....with more casualties and highly virulent...and new to us, so we don't have know treatment and Vaccine for this....I am sure we will get these tools in matter of months if not in weeks....in spite of Nay Sayers like buddy from Hat hill...

    ...Tak...Takk...

If he contracted the Virus during quarantine ...then whole purpose of Quarantine is defeated ....

DHO and Health officials should investigate this ...not Police and Revenue officials...

Please note that this is not due to the quarantine facility. The guidelines for quarantine have been changed recently due to which inter-state and international travellers are to be kept only for 7 days institutional quarantine and discharged if they remain asymptomatic. They can continue the remainder of their quarantine at home. Testing of samples from the returnees is collected between 5-7th day of arrival and sent for testing. By the time the results are declared, the people are sent home.

Udupi DC G Jagadeesha was strictly against this practice and was holding people in the quarantine centre till the test reports were available. However, due to the huge influx of returnees, the backlog of tests kept accumulating and the stay of those in quarantine was extended. Due to several complaints by the returnees and few local party members to the State Government, the DC was forced to let them go. To please a few, the State Government has overlooked the safety of the people of Udupi and other districts.

I am not sure if such measures such as containment zones are necessary anymore ..I would say ..
Any Arrival from outside -nothing required .
Symptomatic -Conduct test .. if positive ..rest at home ..for 2 weeks
    Critical --Admit -
If you test every arrival ..Its going to backfire badly .. I think India has a remarkable recovery rate ..
Hence no need to be extra careful ..All Basic hygiene is OK ..wash hands ..dont touch your face ..Travel only if important ..Here its the self and people that have to wake up now ..The govt cannot be blamed anymore ..the govt has done its job ..for the initial staged ..which is enough ..
