Bantwal, Apr 8: Thieves broke into Mother of God Church, Mogarnad here in an incident reported on Wednesday, April 8.

The thieves reportedly entered the church after breaking its right side door. They allegedly broke an offertory box in the church and four other offertory boxes inside the hall and escaped with the cash in them.

Church priest Dr Mark Castelino later lodged a complaint at the town police station. Police personnel visited the church and conducted spot inspection.

Bantwal town crime division SI Santhosh B P, ASI Sanjiva K, staff Suresh Padar, Usman Valikar and Srikanth visited the spot.

    Pray for them who stole this money, may be it was emergency for them or their families. May their necessities being fulfilled soon. May God forgive them specially during this holy week. Once he earns that money I am sure he will offer the same to the church.
