Haryana coronavirus cases rise to 76


Chandigarh, Apr 5 (IANS): Six new patients were registered in Haryana on Sunday, five from Muslim-dominated Nuh, taking the total coronavirus patients to 76, the government said.

According to the state's medical bulletin, the total patients comprised four are from Sri Lanka and one from Nepal.

The patients from other states comprised five from Tamil Nadu, three Kerala, three West Bengal, two each from Telangana and Bihar and one each from Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Karnataka, Delhi and Maharashtra.

Fifteen patients have been discharged across the state.

The bulletin said intensive testing is being done Faridabad, Nuh, Palwal, Gurugram and Panipat districts.

Gurugram saw the highest number of 18 cases, followed by Palwal (17), Faridabad (14), Nuh (eight) and Panipat (four).

So far one death is reported in the state from Ambala city at the PGIMER in Chandigarh.
