Mangaluru, Mar 10: The National Board of Accreditation - NBA, New Delhi, accredits all the five UG programmes below:-
• Mechanical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Computer Science&Engineering
• Information Science &Engineering
• Electronics & Communication Engineering
Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management has added another feather to its cap by accomplishing accreditation of all the five Under Graduate (UG) Engineering Programmes by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi for three years (2020-2023).
The expert team visited Sahyadri from January 31 to February 2 and evaluated all the five Engineering departments.
Advantages of NBA accreditation:
The Outcome Based Education (OBE) processes measure the practice of teaching-learning processes and attainment of programme outcomes for the successful completion of Graduation in Engineering.
• The degree obtained by the student from the NBA accredited programmes will be recognized globally.
• Students have higher preference job opportunities in premier companies and pursuing higher studies in reputed international universities.
• Quality education provided by the accredited programmes helps the student to hone up their skills and gain knowledge across the streams.
• Enhance the research capability by attracting funding from various agencies.
The college has been accredited by NAAC ‘A’ grade in 2017 and the current achievement will further strengthen the commitment toward delivering quality technical education.
