DMK MLA Samy dead

Chennai, Feb 27 (IANS): Former Tamil Nadu Fisheries Minister and member of Tamil Nadu Assembly K.P.P. Samy passed away on Thursday due to illness, DMK party confirmed in a condolence message. He was 57.

A member of the DMK party, Samy was elected to the Assembly from Tiruvottiyur constituency here.

DMK President M.K.Stalin condoled Samy's death.

Following the death of Samy, the DMK's strength in the Assembly comes down to 99.
