Mangaluru: ICYM Permannur unit celebrates golden jubilee

Mangaluru, Feb 18: ICYM Permannur unit celebrated its golden jubilee on February 16 at St Sebastain church grounds Permannur.

Thanksgiving Mass was held wher Fr Ronald Dsouza was the main celebrant, followed by breakfast for members of ICYM Permannur and their parents.The closing ceremony of golden jubilee was held in the evening.

The programme commenced with prayer song conducted by present ICYM members. Followed by welcome dance by Holy Angels School Permannur then the theme song dance by St Sebastian English Medium School Permannur. Navaneeth Merwin D’Souza, president, ICYM Permannur welcomed the gathering. During this programme youth welfare fund was inaugurated with deposit of Rs 1 lac and jubilee souvenir ‘Bangrali Meta’ was released.



Bishop emeritus Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza presided the programme along with chief guest Dr J B Saldanha, Maurice D’Sa, founder president, ICYM Permannur, Fr Valerian Pinto, Fr Ronald D’Souza, Fr Rupesh Madtha, Wencita Dias, RJ Errol, Jesvita Quadras, Leon Saldanha, Maurice Monteiro, Philomena D’Souza, Fr Michael D’Souza, Fr Santhosh D’Souza, Sr Emma Joseph, Sr Benny Baretto, Sr Severine Fernandes, Deril D’Souza, Maurice D’Sa, Wencita Dias and RJ Errol, Fr Thrishan, Fr Rocky, Fr Oswald, founder members, former presidents, as well as present members were honoured during the programme. Velita D’Souza, secretary, ICYM Permannur, rendered vote of thanks. Flancita Slavia D’Souza and Delson Ashley D’Souza, compered the programme. Followed by Tulu drama by Devadas Kapikad ‘Namaskaaramastre'. A huge crowd was present for the programme.
