Moodbidri: Leaders across party lines pay last respects to late Amarnath Shetty

Moodbidri, Jan 28: Several eminent personalities including JD (S) national president and former PM Devegowda, former CM Veerappa Moily and BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel visited the home of late Amarnath Shetty in the town and paid their last respects.

Those who visited Amanath Shetty's house also include minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, MLAs Umanath Kotian, V Sunil Kumar, Rajesh Nayak, Halady Srinivas Shetty, Sukumar Shetty, Raghupati Bhat, speaker of legislative assembly Pratap Chandra Shetty, MLCs Ivan D'Souza, S L Bhojegowda, former minister Ramanath Rai, B Nagaraj Shetty, MP Shobha Karandlaje, former chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi university Dr Ramanand Shetty, well-known personalities like Balipa Narayana Bhagavath, Maladi Ajit Kumar Rai, Dr M N Rajendra Kumar, Jayaprakash Hegde, K Abhayachandra, Vinay Kumar Sorake, B B Ningaiah Moodigere, J R Lobo, Vasanth Bangera, Mallika Prasad, Dr M Mohan Alva and Yashpal Suvarna.

The last rites of Amarnath Shetty will be held at 10.30 am on January 28 at Mundrudeguthu Paladka with full state honours.
