Muslim clerics supporting govt on CAA isolated

By Saiyed Moziz Imam

New Delhi, Dec 22 (IANS) Amid protests by students and civil society groups across the country, Muslim clerics who have supported the government on the Citizenship Amendment Act are being isolated within the community, both in Delhi and Lucknow.

On Friday, the Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid, who supported the CAA saying the Act is not against the minorities and avoided mentioning it in the Friday sermon, looked helpless at the Jama Masjid ramparts while the crowd walked with Dalit leader Chandrashekhar Azad, who had come to show solidarity with the protesters.

Many in the crowd wondered why the Shahi Imam did not oppose the CAA during his Friday sermon.

Riyaz, a resident of Jama Masjid, said "We are surprised by his move as crowd chanted, 'Born here, will die here'."

Another cleric Kalbe Jawwad, who is from the Shia sect, has also not opposed the CAA. Now, he is being trolled on social media for taking the side of the government.

Jawwad is being defended by Mehmood Paracha, a lawyer and close associate, who told IANS, "Anjuman-e-Haideri, whose chief patron is Kalbe Jawwad, has moved Delhi High Court against the CAA and during the Friday agitation the members of the Anjuman were present with the Dalit leader Chandrashekhar."

One of the agitators at Jamia Millia Islamia, Congress leader Parvez Alam Khan said, "The community will not fall in the bluff of these so-called religious leaders and people on the streets know better than them."

On Sunday, the crowd swelled up in Jamia to protest against the CAA which shows that people are not taking those who are siding with the government very seriously, said a protester.

We, the Muslims of India will whole heartedly welcome the persecuted Hindus/ Christians/ Sikhs / Budhists/ Jains when they are really persecuted there in their Country; enen if India completely opens its borders to everyone from there. No worries at all. Infact, it would be a previage to help anyone in the need of help from our Country.
But, the problem is that BJp is showing partiality by not being ready to accept the Muslim Rohingyas as the persecuted Minorities; as they are Muslims. This shows that BjP differenciates based on the Religion of a person and gives less importance when one is following Islamas his religion.

    Mr. Intellectual Sanjeev,

Can you digest the following VIP Treatment For Illegal Immigrants as compard to the GENUINE INDIANCITIZENS:

Illegal Immigrants will get the VIP treatment from the BJp Government. They will be the first to be issued with Certificate of Citizenship even before the Genuine Indian Citizens who are yet to undergo the cumbersome procedure of NRC for years altogether to prove their Citizenship and to get their valid Certificate of Citizenship.

Adding to the Royalty of the Illegal Immigrants is that it is not required from them to produce any type of documents at all to get Indian Citizenship(Highly Honourable Mr. Amit Shah has made it clear in the Parliament speech and many election speeches); Whereas every Genuine Indian will spend their hard earned money, time, effort to prove their Natinality and without guaranteed success.

So, in Summary, EVERY GENUINE INDIAN CITIZEN IS ACCUSED BY BJp AS AN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT UNTIL HE PROVES HIMSELF AS AN INDIAN. CONGRATULATIONS FOR YOUR HUMILIATION AND YOUR INTELLECTUAL TRAITS AS WELL.

I want to get enlighted by your reply on this. Please do that.

Whole India knows how many intellectuals are there in BJp.

After Bukhari, Some of the thoughts of these Intellectuals are:

    1. Some says Cow milk has gold.
    2. Someone says cow dung is more valuable than Diamond and he even refers to Supreme Court for it.
    3. Someone says moving your hands over the back of cow cures the cancer.
    4. Someone says chanting sanskrit will cure diabetes.

This is the perfect occassion to identify the real faces of so called Clerics.

The isolation of our own Clerics is a mark of being not a Bhakth of any Clerics. This shows that the community is driven by values and not by any adherence to these so called clerics. The time has gone when a Cleric used to deliver according to his own desires and interests and people used to follow it blindly. Now the people are asking for the reasonig behind any of his suggestions/ advice.

A Cleric will always guide the Community ; not misguide.
