Chennai, Dec 15 (IANS): West Indies fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell's name on Sunday trended on Twitter after he scalped the wickets of India captain Virat Kohli and KL Rahul in the first ODI here.

#Cottrell trended with 1,071 tweets, with fans posting pictures of him doing his now-famous, celebratory military salute after dismissing a batsman.

One fan posted: "I usually love Cottrell's military-style salute celebration but not against Kohli."

Another cricket fan posted a picture of cartoon character Tom from 'Tom and Jerry' saluting and wrote: "Virat Kohli gone for 4... and Cottrell's signature celebration...."
