Udupi: Tulu movie ‘Jabardast Shankara’ receives overwhelming response at premiere show

Udupi, Nov 8: “Jalanidhi Films’ ‘Jabardasth Shankara’ Tulu film received an overwhelming response from the audience in the premiere show,” said Thelikeda bolli fame Devadas Kapikad at Udupi press club here on Thursday, November 7.

Devadas Kapikad further said, “The film ‘Jabardasth Shankara’, produced by Rajesh Kudla, Anil Kumar, and Lokesh Kotian received tremendous response from an audience of around 1,800, in the premiere show. It is a complete package of entertainment.



“We took 34 days to shoot the movie. Many new artistes have acted in the film. Now the movie is set to hit screens on November 8 across the twin coastal districts. The film will be released in Big Cinemas, PVR and Cinepolis in Mangaluru, Ashirvad, Inox and Big Cinemas in Udupi, Natraj in Suratkal, Aruna talkies in Puttur, Santhosh talkies in Sullia, Krishna talkies in Kasargod, Amarashree in Moobidri, Bharath in Beltangady and other districts.

“There are four mass fighting scenes and it is complete family entertainment movie with rich editing. The total duration of the film is two hours and ten minutes. There were some allegations that we are taking the same artistes in every film. But for a change and to negate that criticism, we have given opportunity to new talents this time. The movie gives a good message to public at the end,” he said.

Actor Arjun Kapikad said, “All audience liked the movie and have given good comments too. We have used Hindi to raise curiosity among viewers. There is no other intention than that.

“The team is more confident this time after seeing the response of the crowd. Definitely the film will win hearts of movie lovers and it will sustain for long time.

“The team intends to donate portion of the income to the poor children's education.”

“My next projects are 'Purushottamana Prasanga', a Kannada movie and 'Kulle Batthe Avu Avu' a Tulu movie,” said actor Arjun.

The shooting was held in different places of Mangaluru, Moodbidri, Padadka, Kalladka and Vamanjuru temple. Around 500 to 600 dance artistes have participated in the movie.

    Indeed its a great movie, with great directions with melodious songs , Hardcore action and fights were to much for this tulu movies and its very difficult for Mangaloreans to accept action sequences in our local language or any south Indian movies ,
