Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari vows to form national govt

Islamabad, Nov 5 (IANS) Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the Chairperson of the opposition Pakistan Peoples Party, has vowed to form a national government in the country.

Addressing a PPP workers' convention at Uch Sharif in Punjab province on Monday, the PP Chair continued with his tirade against the incumbent Imran Khan government and criticised the policies particularly the federal budget and the Prime Minister's announcement of construction of five million houses.

The PPP chairman said his party would continue to face the "inefficient" Prime Minister and would form a national government at all costs.

He referred to the federal budget which, he said, had made the lives of the people "hell".

Advocating support for the farming community, Bhutto-Zardari said that the government inflicted economic damage on farmers.

Referring to the construction of five million houses in the country, he said thousands of poor people had been rendered shelterless instead.

During his address, Bhutto-Zardari also criticised government's media policy. He said the media was not free and the government had silenced the people's voice.

About Maulana Fazlur Rehman's ongoing 'Azadi March' in Islamabad, he said: "We have supported him."

Monday's address comes after the PPP Chairman last month had called for nationwide anti-government protests to "restore 'real' democracy in the country".
