Mangaluru: Carmel School celebrates Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

Mangaluru, Oct 31: ‘National Unity Day’ also known as ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ was celebrated by the students of VI A to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who unified the country. The school paid tribute to his extraordinary attempt to build modern India.

The programme began with the lighting of the lamp and prayer service which emphasized the value of unity. A skit based on the real-life incident was presented by the students which highlighted the importance of being united in difficult times.

The students presented an extraordinary cultural extravaganza wherein national integration was stressed for the development of our country. School pupil leader, Chandrima Monteiro, administered the pledge to the student fraternity. The programme concluded with words of wisdom by the administrator, Sr Rose Agnes A C, and by singing the National Anthem.



The vice-principal, Sr Gracy was present. The programme was compered by Angel Noronha and Pallavi and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dhanishka.
