Moodbidri: MITE bags 2nd place in national competition 'Launch your Rocket'

Moodbidri, Oct 14: Students from the department of Aeronautical Engineering, Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering, here, participated in a national level competition titled, 'Launch Your Rocket' held at Chandigarh University, Punjab.

A total of 16 teams participated in the event from across the country. Two teams consisting of five members each participated in the event from MITE.

SPACE-PHILIA 2019 is a national level Space Expo organized by Aerospace Engineering, Chandigarh University from October 4 to 10. The event is the first of its kind in North India.

The 7-day Space Expo has many events, which will encourage the students, professors, industrialists, scientists and researchers who are all working in the field of aerospace to participate, learn and share knowledge.

The students' team from MITE comprising of Apoorva B R, Gauri Pradeep Katti, Rashid Ahmed, Jere Riddhi vishram and Shahid Farooq won second prize in the national event.
