Mangaluru: Parikshith Nellyady sets world record in paper cutting art

Mangaluru, Oct 11: Parikshith Nellyad, a young interior designer from the district set a new record in paper cutting art and enrolled his name in ‘Exclusive World Records’ book patronized by Lata Foundation.

Parikshith set record using two sheets of papers and Stencil knife. He has made the portrait of Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India with the use of white and black paper sheet and stencil knife within a time period of three minutes and 12 seconds.

In the race for the world record, Parikshith beat Chandan Suresh from Tumkur and a senior artiste from Maharashtra.

Parikshith got his art training from Swaroopa Adhyayana Kendra, Shakthinagar, Kulshekar under known art teachee Gopadkar. He did his primary education in Jnyanodaya Betheny School from Nellyady.

Parikshith is also well-versed in fire art and gave many exhibitions across the district. He also participated in Dasara Chitra Santhe at Mysuru in the last week during Dasara celebrations.
