Mangaluru: St Aloysius College emerges champion at 'Expressions 2019 Animac'

Mangaluru, Sep 21: The two-day national level intercollegiate talent hunt ‘Expressions 2019 Animac - Evoke your Inner Child’, conducted by School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya, came to an end on the evening of September 20.

The two-day fest had a variety of events which were organised by the students itself, ranging from a plethora of competitions like the traditional Ice breaker, dance, battle of the bands, stress interview, mock press, quiz, photography among others.

Merula Pinto, general secretary welcomed the gathering with her charming yet warm words.



The valedictory program was inaugurated by the famous star Pruthvi Ambar, a famous actor who has starred in the movie ‘Pillibail Yamunakka’. Sandesh, the director to the recent movie starring Pruthvi, was also present on the dais. The dais also held some important figures of the college, Dr Jacintha D’Ssouza, the former principal of the institute and the former provincial of DHM India province south. Dr Jacintha D'Souza addressed the gathering about the institution and how far it has come by following the righteous path. Her words brought energy in the crowd after a two day long fest. Juliet C J, principal of the institute, graced the occasion with her presence.

The chief guest of the programme Pruthvi Ambar spoke about the very welcoming attitude of the institution and how much of a big heart the people of Roshni have.

The participants from various college who participated and portrayed their skills came up and gave their feedback about the fest.

Nashma Khatija, the academic secretary delivered the vote of thanks and laid out the different sources the institute is thankful for the creation and the success of the two-day fest. This was then followed by a video created by the students of Roshni Nilaya to show the journey the students had to go through in order for this fest to be a memorable one.

The final and the most important part of the evening was for the results, various colleges that took part and excelled in their competitions took back prizes, the energy in the crowd rose to an all-time high due to the joy of the winners. The overalls were backed by students from St Aloysius College and the runners-up trophy was taken home by the students of MGM Udupi College.

The programme ended with the national anthem.
