Mangaluru: St Agnes College I BCom 'Talents Day 2019' competition held

Mangaluru, Sep 18: The department of Commerce of St Agnes College organized a one-day intra college 'Talents Day 2019' competition for I BCom on September 16 at A4, Avila block, St Agnes College campus. 

This fest organized to identify, prepare and train the students to face future challenges and to provide a platform to showcase their talents was attended by 259 students. 

Dr Therese Pereira assistant professor of Commerce, Government First Grade College Car Street, here, was the chief guest. She is the former faculty of Commerce at St Agnes College.

Dr Sr Jeswina AC, the principal of the college was the president for the event.



Anitha S, the in-charge HOD of Commerce, Sheryl P, dean of Commerce and Management, SACCSA coordinators Rodney Vaz and Delan Lobo, assistant professors of Commerce, Rakshika, vice president of Commerce were the dignitaries during the inaugural.

Mariam Simin of I BCom welcomed the chief guest, the dignitaries and the gathering.

The programme started with a prayer song by Ashel and team of I BCom to invoke the blessings of the Lord Almighty.

While addressing the students, the chief guest, Dr Therese Pereira advised on how to overcome obstacles in life with a positive attitude.

The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest and the principal by lighting of the lamp. In her address, the principal encouraged the students to utilize the opportunities provided and to work hard to add more colour in their lives. 

Rakshika, the vice president, briefed about the various competitions for the day. Hanan of I BCom compered the programme and Rajshee of I BCom proposed the vote of thanks for the morning’s inaugural function. 

The intra-collegiate fest concluded with a valedictory ceremony.

Sr Dr M Venessa AC, the vice-principal of the college, was the chief guest. In her address, she advised to speak and utilize time wisely and grab every opportunity provided. Dalia D’Souza, Delan Lobo and Rodney Vaz the faculty of Commerce, announced the prize winners and Sr Dr M Venessa AC, gave away the prizes. Muhiza of I BCom compered the valedictory programme and Shreya Shetty of I BCom proposed the vote of thanks.
