Mangaluru: Intercollegiate Indian Music Singing Competition held at SAC

Mangaluru, Sep 16: The Music Association of St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organized an Intercollegiate Indian Music Singing Competition on September 13 at LCRI Hall.

Dr Saraswathi Kumari, HOD of Kannada was the chief guest. Principal Fr Dr Praveen Martis SJ, presided over the programme. The competition was sponsored by the alumnus M P Jayarama.

After inaugurating the competition, Dr Saraswathi Kumari addressed the gathering.



Principal Fr Dr Praveen Martis SJ, said, “Whenever we hear a song or music, it automatically brings a kind of transcendental life in us and I think this is very important.”

Sixteen colleges in and around Mangaluru participated in the competition. Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal won the first place, SDM College of Business Management and SAC won second place and St Aloysius College (Autonomous) won the third place.
