Chicago, Sep 13: It is 89 weeks ever since ‘Veez’ Konkani global illustrated weekly e-magazine, being published from Chicago, USA under the editorship of Dr Austin D’Souza Prabhu, a strong Konkani supporter. 

Dr Austin is a very busy person traveling around the world. However, he never missed a single weekly publication of his Konkani magazine ‘Veez’. Since he started publishing the magazine online, he travelled to India twice, Italy and Canada among other countries and never missed an issue. This shows his love towards Konkani and his dedication to bring out a colourful magazine every week. 

 


Dr Austin D’Souza Prabhu 

Now, ‘Veez’ Konkani is getting published in four scripts namely Kannada, Romi, Devnagari and Malayalam. This is a history in Konkani. 

‘Veez’ has become very popular amongst young and old throughout the world and become a global voice of Konkani language.

    Language is one, but scripts used are different. Konkani is the only language written in 5 different scripts including Persian. Hope now Veez Konkani will have a broader and wider readership, cutting across regions and communities speaking the same language. Highly appreciate Dr. Austin's efforts.
