Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (ANK)

Mangaluru, Sept 9: In 2016, a group of young engineers turned entrepreneurs from Mangaluru founded a polyurethane foam (PUF) manufacturing unit at Baikampady Industrial Area known as Mangalore PUF Industries Pvt Ltd.

The firm manufactures high-quality polyurethane foam insulation products. Their product range spans across PUF slabs, PUF pipe sections, PUF wall panels, PUF insulated roofing sheets and PUF insulated doors.

PUF material is suited for a wide working temperature range between -200 degrees to +150 degrees. It has low conductivity value of maximum 0.021 w/mk at 10 degrees. It is less prone to combustion and has negligible water permeability. These features ensure PUF products fit perfectly into a variety of industrial and domestic application.

An excellent product from Mangalore PUF is their roofing panels. It provides optimum thermal and sound insulation. During summer months, it performs brilliantly in reducing heat indoors and they do not make any noise during the heavy monsoon rains.

Mangalore PUF roofing panels are aesthetically designed and therefore eliminating the need for a false ceiling. It saves money by reducing additional costs. Due to its high insulating efficiency, the heat is greatly reduced indoors, which also leads to high-energy savings.

Every year in the city, temperatures are only rising and ordinary roofing gets too hot during the summers. Locals can greatly benefit by using PUF insulated roofing panels at their home for any roofing requirements.

Another excellent product from Mangalore PUF Industries is PUF wall partitions which can be used for wall partition application at homes, offices and any other wall partition requirements. The main advantage of this product is that it can be installed without any damage to the main structure and the components can be disassembled and re-used as necessary. They even manufacture porta cabins as per requirement of the clients and kennels for dog lovers.

Mangalore PUF Industries Pvt Ltd supplies their insulation materials and customized products to an esteemed client list that includes individual homeowners across coastal Karnataka as well as the top hospitals, builders/contractors, hotels, malls, educational institutions, temples and churches.

Their clients for industrial application spans cold-storage and fish processing units, boatyards, pharmaceutical and petrochemical industries in the region.

Mangalore PUF Industries Pvt Ltd is the first polyurethane foam-based product manufacturer in coastal Karnataka, based out of Mangaluru. It has 3 founding directors Anirudh Prabhu, Dolphy Pinto, and Pramod K.

Thank you everyone for reading the article. We realise some of you have got some concerns about the products that were not addressed in the article. Hopefully the following information will help answer them.

All the products manufactured at Mangalore PUF use raw materials tested to the BS as well as the DIN standards to make sure all the customers are offered the best products in the market.
PUF is more of a polymer similar to the ones used in mattresses, pillows, cushions, sofa sets, car seats and even in shoe soles. It is not a single use plastic that is banned in most places in India (and rightfully banned if I may add, single use plastic is destroying the environment).
PUF products are environment friendly as they have a very long lifespan and rarely need replacement. They reduce the heat indoors and are energy efficient which in turn reduces the need for fans and air conditioning units and as a result reduces the impact on the environment (and as a bonus saves money too!). The PUF insulating panels used in cold storage units increase the shelf life of food and cuts down wastage of food. At the end of life, PUF products can be recycled instead of being sent to a landfill and hence the impact on the environment can be reduced.
If you have any further concerns or queries please do not hesitate to get in touch with us and we will be more than happy to address them.
