M'luru: Alternate track laid at Kulshekar – Partial train services to resume from Aug 31

Mangaluru, Aug 31: The working of laying alternate railway track of 400 meter in length at Kannagudda in Kulshekar of the city, where a huge landslide had taken place a week ago, was completed on Friday, August 30. The partial train services through this route are likely to resume from Saturday, August 31. Resumption of full scale running of trains on this route may start only from September 2.

No 12978 Ajmer-Ernakulam Express, Netravati Express and Mangala Express will run on the repaired track on Saturday. However, the intercity and passenger train that runs between Mangaluru and Madgaon of Goa is cancelled for Saturday also. Demu passenger will terminate at Suratkal and start its return journey from there itself. No 16516 Karwar-Yashwantpur train is partially cancelled from Karwar to Mangaluru.
