Daijiworld Media Network - Panaji (SHP)

Panaji, Aug 20: On Monday, Congress workers barged into the office of PWD principal chief engineer, Uttam Parsekar demanding immediate action by the department to curb ongoing water crisis in the state.

"You will supply water within 24 hours to those places where there is need without people asking for it. We hope the water pipeline is fixed by Tuesday and even if it is not, please do not leave people high and dry,” said Congress spokesperson Amarnath Panjikar to Parsekar.

The workers also threatened to return with sand rocks and gravel if the department does not work to solve the crisis. The water crisis in the state entered the fifth day.
