It's very funny to see how "west" is the bench mark for everything. So if the west does it's ok even we can do... No in West such crimes are treated very diligently, culprits are punished, and there are very less cases of rape, that too most of the cases are registered.. Sowjanya's case is the example how people get away even after committing crime..

Law and justice means : holding the person responsible for violating, harming the other persons.
The victim will suffer from this trauma her entire life.
Therefore the punishment should be proportional.
Capital punishment will serve as a detterant for others.
Surely we think human beings deserve more respect(than 4 legged animals) and therefore let's not try to be hypocritical and be very vocal in our protests.

Nobody knows what is happening nowadays in Mangaluru Dakshina Kannada District in particular and in India in general.Sad,bad and very heartbreaking incidents like gang rape, rape, murder etc are happening on daily basis without any fear or brake.Being an already famed city of educated people, incidents like this will bring not only bad name to the city but also people are apprehensive about sending their wards outside even to school.Just imagine within a month's time how many incidents like stabbing, gang rapes, murder occurred?.Is there any solution, end for it?.very sad.Whoever may it be,culprits, accused should be given capital punishment without any trial, mercy or sympathy.By doing so,such incidents should not be repeated in the future.

India is the world’s most dangerous country for women due to the high risk of sexual violence and being forced into slave labor, according to a poll of the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
War-torn Afghanistan and Syria ranked second and third in the Thomson Reuters Foundation survey of about 550 experts on women’s issues, followed by Somalia and Saudi Arabia.
Government data shows reported cases of crime against women rose by 83 percent between 2007 and 2016 when there were four cases of rape reported every hour.
India has shown utter disregard and disrespect for women ... rape, marital rapes, sexual assault and harassment, female infanticide has gone unabated.
This incident is third in such from Mangalore district after daylight murder attempt and gang rape of student from the college and sharing of video on social media. Unfortunately, the abuse against women is unabated despite the 'Moral police' in duty round the clock.
While in Madhya Pradesh, the opposition BJP led by former Shivraj Singh Chouhan government is helding candlelight march, in Jaipur, Rajasthan the city in communal violence. But in Mangalore, all fanatic organization seems to be 'Maun Vrath' just because all the cases the accused are not from Muslim minorities.
    1. Is Mangalore is going to be next rape capital of India after Delhi and Madhya Pradesh under the BJP leadership?
    2. Is our Moral police is in London from wathing world cup cricket after the exhaustive campaign for the BJP in elections?
    3. Where are the Mahila morchas and Durga Vahini's gone?
