Bengaluru: Siddaramaiah mulling desirability of relaunching his 'Ahinda' movement

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 25: It is gathered that former chief minister and leader of the Congress legislature party, Siddaramaiah, is actively considering a proposal to activate his flagship 'Ahinda' movement that had once catapulted him in politics, from its current state of hibernation.

'Ahinda' refers to minorities, backward classes, and dalits.

Such a possibility is being discussed in the circles close to Siddaramaiah. As per information, leaders of 'Ahinda' movement have planned to meet on July 14 in the guise of celebrating the birth centenary of former chief minister, the late Devaraj Urs, and draw up future plan of action.

A few Ahinda leaders recently met Siddaramaiah and expressed to him their gut feeling that communities grouped under 'Ahinda' are getting disintegrated. Their division and subdivision, the leaders analysed, is giving rise to political disasters. They raised the point that the BJP had not issued any ticket to backward classes and minorities in any of the constituencies. Although the Congress had issued tickets to several backward class candidates, none of these candidates came out victorious in the Lok Sabha election, they pointed out.

These leaders confided in Siddaramaiah the suspicion that Muslim votes would have gone to the kitty of the BJP this time, even though that party does not count on these votes. These leaders expressed the apprehension that all these wrong things are happening because of Siddaramaiah has been overlooking these communities.

During his term of five years as Karnataka chief minister, Siddaramaiah had framed several schemes for these classes. But the result was not as per his expectations. These things have created a notion in him that the minorities, backward classes and dalits are distancing from him, it is said. Therefore, a need is felt to bring them together by organizing programmes and create a feeling in them that the leaders are concerned about their welfare and upliftment.

Stop minority appeasement and celebrating Tipu Jayanti.

    Take everyone into account,
don't segregate people and you are a good leader.

Your welfare should be good for every section of society. ( Example Indira Canteen)

The tipu Jayanti people won't vote for you, they have their own agenda.

    Good luck

Still he lost pathetically from his own constituency. What a shame. Religion, caste based politics is totally out. it should be based on development and based on corrupt acts.

Like his big boss, Siddu should find a safe constituency somewhere in Kerala where 'you know who' is more in population , to launch his Ahinda. His own home constituency have rear ended his 'Ahinda' in 2018. No way its going to work again.

Boss, just because RaGa was given this 'religious favor' to contest from Wayanad, does not mean that every Tom Dick and Harry in Cong would be entitled to such benifits. These favours are only limited to dynasts.
