Bengaluru: IMA Jewels chief Mansoor Khan releases video , offers to surrender

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Jun 24: Absconding managing director and CEO of I Monetary Advisory (IMA), Mohammed Mansoor Khan released a video on Sunday, June 23 in which he has offered to surrender before the police and co-operate with the investigation.

Khan in the video has also said that he feared for his and his family’s life as the people behind the downfall of IMA would not spare him alive.

"Who was behind the collapse of IMA? Central level corruption and state level corruption tried to bankrupt me and they were successful. Various methods were employed to harass IMA and extort money from the firm. When I come before the police department and judiciary, I will reveal all these names. I am sure that these people will not spare me alive," he says in the video.

Mansoor had fled the country after allegedly cheating more than 30,000 people of their investments. Multiple investigating agencies including the Enforcement Directorate launched a probe into the scam after that. Recently, a red-corner was sought by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) which is probing the case.

Sharing his phone number in the 18-minute video, Khan has requested city police commissioner Alok Kumar to text him details of the person he could meet and surrender before returning to the country. Though he had gone to the airport on June 14 to return to India, he was off-boarded from the flight saying he could not leave, he claims in the video.

"Leaving the country was a mistake. But my own people who are from within the management and some politicians close to me, backstabbed and started harassing me. So, I was forced to hide my family. Whatever happened subsequently was in haste and was not planned,” he says in the video.

"When I left Bengaluru, there was 120 kgs of gold jewellery and 600 kgs of bullion with IMA. But, I have learnt that some things were moved on Friday night and I suspect some directors and my brothers to be behind this,” Khan says.

He accused Nizamuddin, one of the directors, his cousin and another director Mohammed Wasim, constructor Khalid Ahmed and his son Fahad Ahmed of removing the contents from !MA's vaults for personal gain. "Nabid Ahmed, who caused financial irregularities, is also involved. I had suspected these people three months ago and was waiting for my bailout,” he says.

“I am returning to support the public. I will submit all the details before the investigating team and will assist in the investigation as per law. I will disclose everything," he concludes in the video.

This is another story like Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi who fled India with $2 Billion looting Indian public sector banks.
Unfortunately, our media didn't report that Choksi stated that he had left the country in January 2018 for getting medical check-up and treatment abroad filed an affidavit through his advocate Vijay Aggarwal.
If IMA chief is sincere to return the money of the investor then his firm would have not given the reason for election to give profit.
In my view this pure Ponzi scheme just like Gali finance schemes. But he duped the investor using the name of Islam. Also, it can't be ruled out his political connections.

Mansoor Khan tried to seek asylum in the country he fled to by playing the religion card. It was denied. So now he is trying to be a good samaritan by surrendering. The host countries are paying a heavy prices for hosting such people. It obvious around the world. Anyways I hope the innocents who invested will have their money repaid.

This is atrocious and extremely disgusting !!! A fugitive criminal, sending video, to prove his holy innocence.... The investigators merely watching and twiddling their fingers, helpless, knowing that they cannot act in fear of exposing their master's !!!!! Mansoor Khan baked the IMA cake, full of almonds, pistachio named it Hallal cake !! Investors wanted to be rich like TATA , BIRLA overnight, fell for this cake party. Sadly the cake has been consumed by the rich and the powerful.... leaving the party guests, high and dry !!!!!!

What he says can be surely true because , at this scale we have too many vultures in our system.

The law enforcement department , politicians , buerocrates and above all Judges no one are completely honest in situation like this a man like IMA owner may be out behind bar permanently snatched remaining what ever money he has and finish this guy without any trace .

This guy can die in prison like Harshad Mehta or fake stamp paper scamster without any trace . General public will not get anything .

It is good for investors to form a group bring this guy back home within the community and recover as much money he is left with . Moreover , there should be any kind of such banking systems in India . Only RBI controlled banks must be allowed not any private unless it is a co operative society wherein every investor is a member .

I think this guy is definitely not a dishonest person. Otherwise, he could have easily run away from the country. There must be a story behind the whole saga..

If he directly says something or raises complaint, he might be killed for sure because our country is extremely lawless when it comes to matters like this.

If one goes to file a complaint in cases of this nature, the cops themselves will call the opposite party and inform and see that this man is finished for ever. So Mansoor has taken the right step.
    Hope justice prevails.

I have never defended the person. Read my comment in full. I am saying he could have vanished like mallya, modi and choksi. Why he has to make video and tell everything?
There are many people involved and he cannot go and file complaint like any other person. He will be killed
This simple language does not enter your chaddi brain. that is the problem.

This is not justified, now he sends videos, accuse some people and he will be pardoned ....

As the business grows larger, more and more decision-makers become part of the business.

But the investors and the public generally only know the founder of the business.

So some of what he says could be true.

Regardless, the act of running away shows that he is guilty. People invested trusting him.

By the looks of it, the investors may not get even 5% of their principal amount back.

It is time the Indian Government thinks about starting a nationalised bank for Sharia-type of banking. The sharia-folks are frightened of the "interest". They only think of "profit"- eventhough this profit could be the result of lending money at 36% interest.
