Mangaluru, Jun 22: Young Students’ Movement (YSM) Mangaluru conducted its Annual General Body Meeting, Leadership Training and Election for the Central Council Office Bearers on Saturday, June 22 at St Antony’s Jeppu.

Fr Onil Dsouza, director St Antony’s, Jeppu was the chief guest. He called the students to be achievers in life. Lanwin Lobo Urwa being the resource person of the day conducted seminar on leadership. Anitha Daina, chief animator for YSM was on the dais on behalf of all the animators.

Fr Rupesh Madtha the diocesan director addressed the students. The YCS president Ashvia Anna Lasrado and Mervin Jaison Vas, YCS diocesan coordinator were on the dais. Renuka, Cascia high school, welcomed the guest and participants. Rovita D’Souza from Sacred Hearts, Kulshekar, compered the programme, and students from St Joseph’s Bajpe led the audience into prayer.

The animators along with the director planned the annual programmes 2019-20.

In the noon, the election was held for the office bearers for the year 2019-20. The office bearers are as follows:

President : Rovita D'Souza, Sacred Hearts, Kulshekar
Vice president: Josvita D'Souza, St Joseph's Bajpe
Secretary: Ayush Rao, St Theresa School, Bendur
Joint secretary: Renuka, Cascia High School, Cascia
Treasurer: Krishna, Pompei School, Urwa
Yuvathare Reps: Princita, St Sebastian School, Permannur, and Deeksha, Gerosa High School, Jeppu
Nominated members: Vinisha Marina, St Joseph's Bajpe, and Hemanth, St Raymond School, Vamanjoor
Chief animator: Sunitha Crasta, Cascia High School

Later the outgoing office bearers were gratefully remembered with the mementos.

As many as 250 student representatives participated in the programme. The programme ended in the noon with lunch. Elton Pinto, Einstien Pinto, and Deona Dsouza helped as volunteers for the success of the programme.
