Udupi: PhD awarded to SDMACH’s Dr Chaithra S Hebbar

Udupi, Jun 18: Dr Chaithra S. Hebbar, professor and Head, Department of Agadatantra, Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Ayurveda College, Kuthpady, Udupi has been awarded Ph.D. (Ayurveda Vidyavaridhi) in Ayurveda by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bengaluru.

Her thesis entitled ‘Critical analysis of concept of Dvividha Veerya - Apharmaco-dynamic approach’ was carried out under the guidance of Prof Dr Lalitha B R, HOD, Department of Dravyaguna, Government Ayurveda Medical College, Bengaluru. The study focused on the thermal influence of the medicinal plants on the body.

She is the alumni of St Cecilys School, Pooornaprajna College, SD M. Ayurveda College, Udupi, and of Government Ayurveda Medical College, Bengaluru. She is the daughter of Dr D Krishnamurthy and Smt. Nethravathi and wife of Dr Srirama Hebbar, Kadiyali.
