Mangaluru: Valedictory function of ASCEE and farewell function held at SIT

Mangaluru, May 15: The department of Computer Science and Engineering organized valedictory function of ASCEE (student association of Computer Science department) along with farewell function to the final year outgoing students on May 11. Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal of the college, in his presidential address inspired the students by motivating them to set their goals and make sure that their goals are clear and reachable. He also urged the students to turn failures into lessons.

Dr Shivakumar G S, head of Computer Science department, addressed the gathering and appreciated the students for their dedicated involvement in numerous activities conducted throughout the year. He also expressed his heartfelt blessings to the outgoing students and wished them to be successful in every aspect of their life. Prof Ravishankara K, staff coordinator, congratulated the prize winners of the various events.

The welcome speech was delivered by Thanush Shetty, vice-president of student association and the annual report of the activities of the academic year was presented by Sanjay, joint technical coordinator. The prize winners of various events were awarded with the certificates and prizes.

The tenth edition of the department newsletter ‘Sprinkle’ and the collection of Final year students project abstracts were released on this occasion.

Navya, joint secretary, delivered the vote of thanks. The whole programme was compered by Jeevan and Vandana.
