Bantwal: Church Day celebrated at St Joseph’s Church, Borimar

Bantwal, Apr 30: St Joseph’s Church, Borimar as part of post centenary silver jubilee celebrated Church Day on April 28. Ballari diocese Bishop Henry D’ Souza, visited the church and offered Holy Mass. He congratulated the priests and parishioners who are celebrating the occasion.

“Though St Joseph Church in Borimar is small and the programmes being held here are a model for others,” he said. The bishop led a candle light prayer for those who died in recent terrorist attack in Sri Lanka.

The bishop honoured by draping shawl parish priest Fr Gregory Pereira and vice president of parish pastoral council Roshan Boniface Martis. Bishop D’ Souza, Fr Melwin Noronha who started celebrations of church day and Fr Gregory Pereira who completed 38 years after ordination were felicitated in the cultural programme held after the Mass.



Pakshikere church parish priest Fr Melwin Noronha, Agrar parish priest Fr Marian Lobo and Br Johnson were present. Meals were arranged for all after the programme.
