Mangaluru, Apr 17: The students of Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences (SIDS), Mukka, participated in the Extract 2019, inter dental collegiate cultural festival, on April 14 held at Yenepoya University, Deralakatte. The event was organized by the Indian Dental Association Dakshina Kannada branch (IDA-DK). More than 65 students of Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mukka, participated in the various categories of events.

The students of Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mukka, bagged overall 2nd place in the event.

The event included multiple performances under the singing and dancing category followed by a variety show and fashion show.

SIDS bagged the overall first place under the singing category powered by some breathtaking performances by the participants.

In the variety show, they finished overall runners-up through a brilliant display of talent and energy by those involved. They also bagged the best variety show making video.

The award for the best fashion show making video was presented to SIDS as they captured some magnificent moments that made up their show.

Singing category:

1. Overall first place
2. Eastern solo first place
3. Eastern group first place
4. Western group first place
5. Indian classical first place
6. Instrumental 2nd place

Variety show:

1. Overall runners-up

Fashion show:

Dr Manoj Varma, the dean of Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mukka, along with the faculty members were present during the event. Students were guided by Dr Hemanth, Dr Chandni and Dr Sheehan.
