Mangaluru: Janardhana Poojary urges voters to support Mithun Rai

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Apr 17: Former union minister, B Janardhana Poojary, noted that Congress party has often fielded educated candidates in Dakshina Kannada district. He also commented that Congress candidate, Mithun Rai, rightfully has the eligibility to become people's voice.

In a press release, Poojary said that during the period of BJP MP, development of this Lok Sabha constituency has suffered. "I have got divine indication that Mithun Rai will come out victorious in this election. His victory will brighten the chances of the people of the district enjoying peaceful coexistence,” he noted. He therefore urged the conscious voters of the constituency to elect Congress candidate, Mithun Rai, for the creation of a noble society and also for a happy tomorrow.

"The Congress had given me opportunities to serve the country as a union minister and leader of Congress party. This party always is in favour of social justice. Even when I was defeated, the party gave me an opportunity to fight the next election. During the period of Congress MPs, the district got airport, new Mangalore port, national highway, railway development, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd, Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Ltd etc," he reminded the people.

Poojary when he was an MP has done good job, we respect him. But when it comes to leadership of Rahul Gandhi, we have a doubt. In center we dont have revolutionary leaders. And MR has few cases and involved in street fights regularly.. In we had a fake gandhi free leadership they would have done good like Narashimha govt was free from fake Gandhi and did really good. But we need to get rid of fake gandhi in cong. Lots of questions need to be ans before taking decisions.. How did the major leaders like rajesh pilot, madharao scindia, sanjay gandhi, dr.shyama prasad, lalbahadur shastri, l n . mishra, jiten prasad, india gandhi, rajeev gandhi, seetram kesari etc.. dies in suspense. Y did sonia not attend the final rally with rajeev which she never missed any rally. Y was no cong leader present in the stage when rajev was alone in stage, was sonia sister having links with dawood... and sukanya case, US airport jail to RG, national herald case etc. Y did cong manifesto has removal of sec 124-A which means its allowed to speak bad about the authority, y no action was taken after terror attack at mumbai..

This vote is for truth vs lie, courage vs coward, serious vs joke, development for the people vs development from the people, respecting india vs disrespecting india, giving free hand to military vs controlling, start up vs employ me, e-money vs cash, ability vs subsidy, create new india vs divide india, common leader vs family leader, fully indian vs half foreigner.

It appears that JP is taking credit for every mile-kalle and tanti-kamba.
He should also remind voters how he compromised Syndicate Bank by forcing it to give Rs. 5k loan then without necessary paperwork and eventually the bank had to take huge losses. Political meddling in the banking sector was the norm then and we are now seeing the after effects.

My take on the individual capability of both the candidates, Kateel and Rai is not very different. Both do not have the caliber to become a leader of national importance. Meaning behind fielding both the candidates is same -> forget about the candidate, you see the party symbol and vote either to Modi or Crown Prince Raul Vinci.

Good point but the statistics manifest a different story, casualties on border as well as within the border have been highest over last 5 years. Modi is claiming there have been no major terror attacks over the past 5 years, Uri, Pathankot and Pulwama cricket matches theh kyaa? Why he's not presenting the evidence of Balokt attacks, rightfully demanded by the families of Pulwama martyrs? Is 56" too small a perimeter to call them also antinationals?

Setting aside political affiliations, the current MP Nalin Kateel has been around for ten years and his performance has been nothing to write home about. More than his achievements in the field of development, he has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Ten years is a long period for anybody to excel and his performance has been anything but impressive. Just the other day in his press meet, Nalin himself was extolling Modi but as far as his own contribution was concerned, he had absolutely nothing to show. So, when we know that a person is inefficient and unproductive, how wise is to continue with him? We Mangaloreans never tire of shouting at the roof top about our intelligence but when it comes to voting, where does our intelligence disappear? Why persist with a person who does not perform? His party might go around begging votes in the name of Modi, but don't we need to have an efficient person at the local level as our MP? Modi is not going to come here and attend to our local issues. It is the MP who has to do it. Nalin Kateel has been tried and tested and he has failed to give a good account of himself. Shouldn't we the voters be showing him the door and usher in a promising person like Mithun Rai to represent us this time? Mithun is young, educated, energetic and raring to go. He certainly deserves to be given a fair chance. This is our chance to elect a person who will work for us. Think before you vote. Don't be misled or fooled by a person who mesmerises people with his oratory skills. Decide if you want a good for nothing Nalin or a promising youngster Mithun. Your future is in your hands.

Reclaiming the beach will ruin our beaches. We love Mangalore. Develop the infrastructure from within. Plant more trees and lay a foundation for underground transport, as nobody in Mangalore are willing to let go of their property for annexing the roads. Flyovers seem to be taking atleast 10 years to even finish 10 percent. Bangalore has done a good job with its Underground metro in urban areas. Compulsory percentage of greenery in any new builds. improve tourism on the beach. Dont ruin it. Dont ruin the mangroves on the river where the fish come to spawn. Learn to live with nature.

If having good english is the yardstick to measure the capability of a politician. Then , Sonia Gandhi of Congress should be given a doctorate in English? . You see the progress and development of the countries where english is not spoken at all like Japan , China . They have progressed by leaps and bounds. It is only in India that the people have more love for English because were slaves to British. That slave mentality is still not gone.
