Mangaluru, Apr 16: A 55-year-old woman was killed in a deadly road accident near Adyar on Tuesday, April 16.
The deceased has been identified as Meenakshi, a resident of Valachil in Adyar.
The accident occurred when the woman along two others was on way to their relative's house by walk after attending Adyar temple jathra at around 2 am. Meanwhile, a car heading towards Bantwal from Mangaluru lost control and hit the women.
In the mishap, Meenakshi died on the spot while other women Geetha(50) and Gauthami(22) sustained injuries.
A case stands registered at Kankanady city traffic police.
