Belthangady: Main stage of Dharmasthala Mastakabhishekha collapses, 5 injured

Belthangady, Feb 14: Five persons suffered injuries after the main stage of Panchamahavaibhava during Mahamastakabhishekha at Dharmasthala collapsed on Thursday afternoon, February 14.

The injured are Prasidhi Jain(19), Chandravathi(46), Pranav(22), Vidyananda Jain(52) and Sandhya(35).

The incident occurred on the fourth day of Panchamahavaibhava. A cultural programme was held in which thousands of people were present. The main stage collapsed soon after people went for lunch at 12.30 pm.

Dakshina Kannada SP B M Laxmiprasad has said that nobody was stuck under the stage. The set of Panchamahavaibhava was also damaged because of the fall.
